A houseguest of the Kowakame family. She has spent her life walking along the rails that were laid out for her, and marries a partner chosen by her parents. However, things are not going well with her husband; their wedding night has not even taken place. Feeling a sense of emptiness in her life, she sets off on an aimless journey and ends up drifting to the Otomehara Archipelago. Highly capable at work, she is used to being relied upon, but on the flip side, she struggles to lean on others herself. Initially wary of Shouichi’s relationships with women on the island, but as she compares herself with the seemingly happy islanders, she begins to ponder what happiness really is.
