The current head of Koga House, which is the main of the six generals' houses: Koga, Nakanoin, Rokujou, Iwakura, and Chigusa. These houses are in charge of the country's military affairs. As its head, Suzuka carries the honorary title of Eboshi. However, her title is mostly nominal, since she is a woman with strange ideas who is treated as an exotic beast. The most influential person among the houses of generals may be considered Nakanoin Reizen, who loves her and proposes a marriage, yet she rejects his advances. She is also known as the Demonical Princess Koga, as she is as relentless as a man. In the past, her father asked his friend Mikado Ryuumei to become a guardian for her, and so Ryuumei and Suzuka's relationships are close to those of a daughter and parent. It is thanks to Ryuumei that she got a splendid education and knowledge of the art of war. Together with the heads of all five houses of generals, she attended a Fencing Kagura ceremony. Her house, unlike others, did not prepare an honorable warrior for the ceremony. It has been agreed that the leader of the impending Eastern Expedition will also be her spouse. Shuzuka is a charismatic, strong-willed, and inspiring figure who may be considered a type of commander who leads an army oneself and inspirits every warrior.

She took part in the Fencing Kagura ceremony, . She went to the Eastern Expedition "for domestic training". Although Kujou House has its own battle techniques, the ones of Shiori are not pure. She employs not only the mastery of the house teaching but also her distortion: she can make her possibilities appear and switch between them at will. It makes her a particularly dangerous opponent because defeating her necessitates defeating all of her possibilities at the same time. A refined lady and a member of the Kyougetsu clan. This clan is famous for its members' ability to bring misfortunes. They have a big distortion and have a phenomenon of "Reverse Wind". "Reverse Wind" means that if one member of the clan brings a misfortune, the other one will die from the misfortune. She lives in a village which cannot be left easily due to the barrier of Mikado with her brother, Kyougetsu Keishirou. She has the highest known distortion level in the entire Shinshuu. Because of how feared she was, she spent most of her time at home, and her life would have been a lot more dull if she hadn't had her caring brother. Sakuya persuaded her brother to take her on the Eastern Expedition. The reason for this was not just a wish to walk freely, but also a desire to discover the source of the curse that bound the Kyougetsu clan—the garden of the bloody red roses that appear in their dreams. She is a lovely, reserved, kind lady. Unlike her brother, she speaks her mind frankly.

He has two shikigami, Niko and Teirei. His position as the Head of Onmyouji is only nominal, as it is Mikado Ryuumei herself who manages the work on leading onmyouji and matters like this. This role is not suited for him; he cannot even be called a proper onmyouji. He does not use proper onmyoujutsu. His techniques are unique to him and can not be properly imitated by others. Also, his nature is just not compatible with this kind of work. Therefore, he was said not to do anything. Most of the time, he brilliantly fulfills the directive by indulging in good sake. Still, sometimes he helps Mikado Ryuumei or carries out her tasks. Yakou did not participate in the Fencing Kagura ceremony, despite being much stronger than all the participants. He is more small-minded and less talented than Nakanoin Reizen, but he is pretty tricky and sneaky. Without these qualities, he would have been assassinated in his sleep long ago. He made a honorable warrior from his clan participate in the Fencing Kagura ceremony. He went to the Eastern Expedition personally, unlike Chigusa and Iwakura. Still, his motivations were not as honorable as they appeared at first glance. Rokujou did this in order to profit while others fought and to strengthen his position.
