Coach Z is the Ultimate Trainer who was responsible for training toons to fight against Sellbot HQ. He is a hotheaded, serious duck who is always getting into confrontations with those who go against his ideals. However, he has a softer side and ultimately just wants to protect the toons of Toontown. His personality is based off of the Toontown Youtuber CoachZucchini. If Cleff attacks Clara earlier in the day, Coach Z witnesses the attack and finishes Cleff off himself to prevent Clara from being executed as a killer. He sacrifices himself due to the hope that his sacrifice will prevent other murders. His execution is a reference to the CoachZucchini video Preventing Cog Damage.
