One of the original participants. He is an IT technician who has a love for programming. He much prefers to be a loner and is shown to be distrustful of the other participants, even being described as lacking sympathy. Still, he's very smart and has a sharp intuition.

One of the original participants. She is a reporter for a major weekly magazine. She is most famous for her gossip articles. Although usually laidback and kind, she's also shown to be somewhat sly.

One of the original participants. He is a stage actor who started gaining popularity as of recent. He is easily provoked and yells a lot. He is shown to be very devoted to his girlfriend.

One of the original participants. He is a sorrowful psychiatrist who is shown to be very judgmental of his peers. He's very proud of his hairstyle, which he styled after the protagonist in his favorite manga, Black Jack.

Yukinari's childhood friend who died prior to the events of the game. He was frequently bullied and ostracized by his classmates because his family was poor and, prior to Yukinari transferring to his school, he had no friends.

Chie's older brother who is currently in a coma. He was the favorite child of his family and therefore treated much better than Chie was. It's clear he always disapproved of how his parents treated his younger sister. As such, he always was there for her and tried to encourage her to follow her heart.

One of the organizers of the game. It speaks in a very polite tone and has a semi-frequent stutter. Although it occasionally encourages the participants, its "kindness" can be viewed as sadistic sarcasm.
