Hundreds of years ago, he was a Demon King who made a name for himself during a time of great upheaval. However during a decisive battle with the forces of light, he was defeated and fell into a coma. During the present age, he was revived by a group of demons led by Arisu who wished for the birth of a savior. Rhegius has the dignity and charisma of a Demon King but is surprisingly friendly with his subordinates and deeply cares about them. On the other hand, Rhegius will not forgive those who disobey him and will attack his enemies mercilessly. Plans to break the heroes' will by using his "Black Seal" magic.

A highly prized civil servant, she sometimes faints due to the devilish behavior of the Demon King. She is a kind girl who is beloved by the people of the demon nation Zigrad.

A hero of the country of Teresia, which is well known for their alchemy and mining industries. The Ballancourt family has passed down the sacred treasures from generation to generation and is the origin of the Hero of Light. She has inherited the divine sword Elimzar and the divine shield Emedius; while wielding both sacred treasures, she is clad in divine flames that burn away evil. Of the three existing heroes she is the most recent to inherit the sacred treasure, but she has experience of subduing a mighty monster and her fame is rapidly spreading. As a swordswoman, she is very proud of her skills but she also has a strong sense of responsibility and is kind to everyone she meets.

A goddess of darkness that is in direct opposition to the goddess of light. Ishtar is said to be the creator of demons from the ancient times, thus she can be called the mother of all demons. After the resurrection of the Demon King, Ishtar was liberated from her seal by Rhegius. With her ability to create new demons and utilizing the power of the spirit stones, she was able to create a masterpiece: Super Labyrinth Dragon Zigrad. This mobile fortress is the core of the newly formed demon country, Zigrad. Her power has yet to fully recover after being freed from the seal, and so the battle to protect Zigrad is inseparably linked with reclaiming the power she has lost.

A human girl who was appointed as Head Maid of Zigrad due to her contributions to the revival of Demon King Rhegius. She looks after both Ishtar and Rhegius, and keeps the interior of the Demon King's castle spotless. The Demon King soon discovered how capable she was at handling enchanted jewels, and so she was put into charge of contacting and scouting various places using bejeweled beasts. She is also a great cook, and her presence in the Demon King's army has made everyone happy with the quality food available.
