Totsugi Yuki becomes disillusioned with city life after completing her junior college education and working for a mid-sized company in Tokyo. She encounters Shibazaki Tokio, a simple and genuine young man, leading to a romantic relationship, marriage, and Yuki inheriting Tokio's family farm in a rural village. However, the village harbors a disturbing tradition where newlywed brides are subjected to unsettling actions by the local men.
