The anchor for a late-night news show which specialises in exposing scandals. Beautiful and charismatic, her career is on an upward trajectory. She frequents the store as it is near her recording studio. She's made a living out of ruining the lives of others through her investigative work as she's learnt the hard way that her looks and intelligence are best used to manipulate the men around her to survive and thrive in society. Although she loves her daughter Shigure, she's uneasy about how her daughter has taken her public persona too seriously. She shoplifts from the manager's store as part of a new undercover sting she's preparing for her programme. When the manager asks for sexual favours in return for not reporting her to the police, she turns the tables and blackmails him with an audio recording. In exchange for sex (which she's extremely skilled in), she'll not report him to the police for his transgressions and liberally helps herself to the numerous shoplifting recordings the manager keeps in his office. Her programme reported on the school sexual harassment scandal which was one of the contributing reasons behind the suicide of Mei's brother. Despite declaring his guilt in public, Kiriko suspected not everything was at seemed and continued to investigate the truth behind the story in private.

She's currently addicted to the latest Augmented-Reality smartphone game. Despite rumours of infidelity with her department manager, she's really a virgin. She doesn't give a damn about the bullying from her colleagues or the unwanted attentions of her lolicon manager. She treats shoplifting like a game as she gets a huge dopamine rush from successfully pulling off a steal, the game's manager is not the first branch she's targeted. She knew Mei's brother as she was responsible for gathering the teaching materials he required. She was also partly responsible for his death as she participated in his bullying.

If he fails to reach one of the game's endings before the end of the month, she removes the franchising contract from him and a replacement store manager is assigned. She helps players through the game's prologue which serves as a tutorial for the game's simulation component. It is implied she is related to the school governor where Mei's brother committes suicide and may have had a hand in the cover-up operation.

Her husband was responsible for tailgating by reckless driving, the financial compensation involved has left her household finances in a precarious state. She engages in shoplifting both to obtain food for as little as possible and to relieve stress. Her husband was the real culprit in the sexual harassment incident last summer which led to the suicide of Mei's brother. She knew the truth, but chose to ignore it. She's unpopular in her neighbourhood and cannot discuss her troubles with the local community. In her ending, her husband is caught shoplifting an adult magazine featuring underaged girls from the manager's store and is consequently fired from his job. She stays married to him because his family background is wealthy and she's pregnant with the manager's child after repeated adulterous sex.

A stereotypical girl of her age who's cheeky and follows the latest trends on social media. She's now a member of an underground idol group, but she really aspires to be an actress. She's been stalked by the group's hardcore fans and looks really stressed out by this. Her half-brother eight years her senior committed suicide a year before the game's events after he was wrongly accused of sexual harassment and fired from his teaching job. When she came to collect his body from the police morgue she realised she didn't hate him despite his repulsive outward appearance, on the inside he was enthusiastic about his job and was a decent person who never stopped reminding Mei to treasure her friends and pursue her dreams. As there were too many people responsible for her brother's suicide and resorting to violence was inefficient, she decided to use unorthodox methods to get even with those who had a hand in her brother's bullying, harassment and eventual suicide. She is the central figure in this game as her plans for revenge are directly responsible for the manager's grief with shoplifters, Yoshimi's bullying at the workplace and Asuka's precarious family finances. She had hoped the protagonist would rape her group leader after she was caught shoplifting, and to increase the chances of this happening she was willing to shoplift and offer her own body as bait to the manager. Unfortunately he had no interest in having sex with "dolls" as the group leader had undergone extensive plastic surgery.
