Ikuto was raised by his father, having lost his mother at a young age. He attended a technical school to become a nursery school teacher and started working part-time at a nursery school as part of his training. There he met Nozomi, a woman a bit older than him, who he came to admire after experiencing how she seemed to exude "maternity", which he had never felt before. Then, one day, his father told him that he would remarry. And it was going to be with Nozomi!
