Rashad is the legal representative of Sloan Enterprises and William Sloan's business partner. While he makes his first appearance in Book 2 of Rules of Engagement, he only appears in subsequent books if Katie is engaged to William. Upon meeting Katie, his dislike of her is quite apparent; he wants William to have no distractions from their work. Years before, Rashad's fiancée at the time felt neglected and shoved aside as his company was growing, forcing her to leave him. He has not forgotten how miserable the annulment of his engagement made him and so wants to prevent William from potentially experiencing the same thing at Katie's hands. Due to his family's nobility, he is the heir to Duchy Domvallier and becomes Hana Lee's suitor in Book 2 of The Royal Romance. As Hana states she cannot imagine marrying him because of his workaholic nature, it seems he still has not learned his lesson.
