Rin, a student at the National Verbena Academy in class 2C, may not be the sharpest tool in the shed academically, but he certainly hits the ball out of the park on the athletic field. Tragically, a bolt from the blue struck eight years earlier when his parents perished in a car accident. In the aftermath, the Fuyou family generously took him under their wing. Then, on a red-letter day in June, his life took another turn. Both Lisianthus, the Divine Princess, and Nerine, the Demon Princess, made a splash by transferring to his school. Suddenly, Rin found himself between a rock and a hard place, seen as a potential spouse for both princesses. This twist positioned him as "A man who can become a god, a demon, or an ordinary man." With the ball in his court, envy grew like wildfire among the male students who admired Fuyo Kaede, Lisianthus, and Nerine. Yet, Rin remained blissfully in the dark about his burgeoning popularity. Little did he know that clandestine photos of him were fetching prices worth their weight in gold on the black market. In contrast to this chaotic social scene, Rin's character shone brightly. He always went the extra mile for others, placing their needs above his own. He'd jump through hoops to support those around him and despised showing his cards by appearing vulnerable. However, at home, it was a different ball game. Rin was like a fish out of water regarding domestic tasks. Here, Kaede pulled the strings, managing chores and often playing the role of the early bird, waking up the ever-tardy Rin. "I'm confident that no one can beat my endurance."

Nadeshiko is a passionate teacher who loves honesty, perseverance, hard work, and friendship. In addition, she is not only strict but also flexible depending on the situation. She has the guts to hold her own against the Divine and the Demon King when the situation demands it. Despite the fact that she is a teacher, Nadeshiko was named third runner-up in the "Miss Verbena" event at the school festival last year. Because of her looks and personality, she is very popular among the students. She addresses all of her students by their first names except Rin, whom she calls as "Tsuchii." She always carried a digital camera around to satisfy her curiosity. She is a pretty and stylish girl; however, she has an inferiority complex related to her chests that are even smaller than Primula's. Her grades are so low that she joins supplementary classes regularly, but she is quite knowledgeable about trivial matters. Mayumi is also a skilled negotiator.

Primula is the third experimental subject and the first homunculus developed from the ground up as part of a collaborative effort between the Divine and Demon Realms. To meet "Rin," whom Nerine had often told her about in the demon realm, she escaped and came to the human world. The Fuyou family cared for her since she insisted on staying with Rin. Primula is a lovely girl with a doll-like complexion, and despite her childlike appearance, she is only one year younger than Rin. While possessing the most potent magical power, Primula has little control. She could quickly annihilate one of the prefectures if she is not cautious. Likewise, the young lady doesn't know much about things other than magic, so she can't express her feelings properly. Her favorite food is cheesecake.

As a result, Asa and Rin share a love-hate relationship (though they're more like a bad company to each other). She is responsible and diligent, but also cheerful and quick to join in. However, she also has a lesser-known tendency to depend on others. Asa has no fan club, unlike Kaede, but there are many hidden fans. She placed on 8th at last year's cultural festival event "Miss Verbena." (Kaede is in the 1st place). For some reason, she despises the existence of magic and gets angry just by talking about the supernatural powers.
