The main character in AstralAir. Riku is an Elfin (people who can use psychic abilities) along with Hinata and Rinne, and is a part of the organization run by Ochiba’s father, Daiki. As a child, he lived in an orphanage in Tsukigasaki alongside Rinne. During that time he often played with a girl named Yuuki, making snowmen and having snowball fights. Years later, he returns again to Tsukigasaki to guard Ochiba and Hazuki, living in their house with them.

In order to become accustomed to human culture and becoming more similar to them, she attends Tsukikou. She is very friendly and speaks overly polite to everyone. She’s very enthusiastic about making friends with everyone to the point where she wants to know the names and faces of everyone who goes to Tsukikou. However, she’s afraid her being a robot scares people away from her. She often helps her friend Rui out at the local shrine.

She often tries to act older, to counteract her child-like appearance which very much bothers her. Despite her being the age where she should be going to school, she chooses to work at the kindergarten in Tsukigasaki.

The other Elfin who came to Tsukigasaki with Rinne and Riku despite never having lived there in the past. She joins the student council right after transferring in to Tsukikou to the surprise of everyone else in the student council. Has a very apparent interest (sexual) in girls and is able to figure out a girl’s bust size simply by staring at them.

Likes: Her younger sister Hazuki Dislikes: Sloppiness The director’s daughter whom Riku, Hinata, and Rinne were sent to protect. She lives together with her younger sister in the old city. She does the housework and takes care of Hazuki, and does both with dedication. She’s a part of the student council, but rarely attends meetings due to being busy with housework and picking up Hazuki from kindergarten. Her father lives away from them and seems distanced from them due to his job, which may be why she dislikes him.

She mysteriously appears and disappears on the bridge connecting the old district to the new district much like an illusion.

She’s part of the school's track team and enjoys running to the extent that she’ll often take it on herself to practice in her free time by the riverbank under the bridge. She lives in the new district with her older sister Miharu who works as a researcher for the Valhalla Institute.

Yuzu's younger sister. She’s one of Hazuki’s friends at the kindergarten and a bit mischievous. She takes great pride in her older sister and will insist that she’s better than anyone else’s. Also enjoys getting on Riku and Rinne’s nerves by shouting at them and accusing them of various things, often resulting in them grinding their knuckles against her head as punishment and calling her names like acorn (due to her ponytail making her head look like one).
