He looks as though he has his head in the clouds and is hard to read, but in fact, Phil has a kind personality and is good at taking care of and helping others. As well as the fact that Phil is talented, his hard work paid off since he was able to safely graduate the knight academy and join the Varte Chivalric Order (lead by the Reeds). While Phil is a considerably skilled swordsman, he is right at the top when it comes to strategy and tactics- nobody is superior to him in those regards.
