A surface pilot of the 666th TSF Squadron Schwarzesmarken. Theodor fights purely for his own survival, rejecting everything else that might leave himself vulnerable, from his comrades in the 666th, and trusts no one around him. Though much younger than other members of the 666th, Theodor's skills are up there with the best, specializing in close combat he learned through knife self-defense. After being captured by the Stasi in a failed attempt to defect to West Germany with them, he was tortured and his family was killed, giving him a deep hatred for the Stasi and anyone involved with them.

Captain Irisdina Bernhard is one of the main heroines of Schwarzesmarken and a secondary heroine in Bernhard im Schatten. Commander of the ‘East Germany’s Strongest’, the 666th TSF Squadron Schwarzesmarken, and Jürgen Bernhard's younger sister. Her command and development of the 666th make her one of the few capable of carrying out Laserjagd, typically considered "suicide" missions in strategic doctrine.

Though she has little experience as a TSF pilot, she possesses natural talent and instinct, which are things that cannot be taught, which is why people view her as a potential ace pilot.
