The main character. A 16 year old girl who's rather quirky and has a deep bond with her older brother, Milo. She is determined to find her brother no matter what. She has a rather dark past that she'd rather not let anyone know about.

An eccentric lady who seems to be a friend of Milo's. She also has a reputation for being a powerful freak-quency player. She's close friends with Nana.

He is Mugen Cafe's owner and is an excellent cook to boot.

Jackal's human form. Although he can switch between two different forms, his true human form is that of a child's.

A Dead-End (DE) type freak. His first quency was Milo, but soon it became Sonnya after she took possession of her brother's phone.

A mysterious freak-quency player who often gives Sonnya the cold shoulder. Despite his cold and blunt nature he actually cares for Sonnya; he rarely shows it though. He has an obsession with sweets and turns out to be one of Sonnya's schoolmates.

A singer at the Lorentz bar. Used to be a freak-quency player, but dropped out due to unknown reasons. Despite his flirtatious behaviour he's actually not interested in Sonnya - well, not yet at least.

A popular teen idol who looks older than she really is. She manages to go unnoticed in public due to the fact that she has two different personas: her gothic public persona and her cutesy idol persona.

Milo's girlfriend who treats Sonnya with unjustified hostility. She's quite grumpy and doesn't seem to know how to smile. She's close friends with Crystal.

A cop and a freak-quency guardian whose job is to keep freak-quency away from the public eye. He isn't a freak-quency player, but still works to protect the game because of a deal he made. He seeks to kill the perpetrator behind his sister's death.

A masked man who tried to kill Sonnya and her friend. A retired freak-quency guardian, currently works as a thief. He seems to have developed an interest on Sonnya.

A freak-quency guardian and the executioner. While his main job is pretty self-explanatory, he is also responsible for getting rid of freak-quency related evidence from the cops.

One of Sonnya's friends at Phoenix high school, she comes off as motherly probably because she's the oldest child in her family. She is a member of the student council.

A freak-quency guardian. She acts as the ring announcer during freak-quency battles. She is responsible for setting up the matches, deciding who goes against who. Her freak is capable of analyzing other quency's freaks.

She is one of Sonnya's friends at Phoenix high school. She belongs to the photography club and is obsessed with the idol, Rie Fujiwara.

Sonnya's missing brother who disappeared out of nowhere. All Sonnya knows is that his disappearance is somehow connected to the popular virtual reality game, Freak-Quency.

He is the owner of Club Lorentz and is Suzanne's husband.

She can be found working at the hospital during night. She spends her weekends at the Lorentz to keep an eye on her husband, Shin, to ensure he doesn't do any illicit activities.

A young pale woman with glowing red eyes who offered you the 'second life'.

This is Crystal's freak. A Mental (ENT) type freak that gradually eats away at Crystal's sanity.
