Masato is Ria's older brother and Hisui's childhood friend, his little "Hime-chan". He left the city with his parents and his sister a few years ago, promising Hisui that they would one day reach Arcadia together and promising him that he would come back for her when he grew up. The years passed and Masato and his family returned to town. But Hisui seems to have forgotten it or she is simply ignoring it. Her character has now become cold to everyone and she no longer seems to like Ria at all. Having joined the Sleipnir Academy, Masato now aspires to master AD technology, but...

Ria is Masato's younger sister and a childhood friend of Hisui, her "Hime-oneechan". She left the city with her brother and parents a few years ago but has recently returned to join the high school run by Sleipnir, a military branch specializing in AD technologies. Since her integration in first year, Ria quickly became one of the best students, her AD armor being very famous for its impenetrable defense.

Yomi is a first-year student and is in the same class as Ria. She is a rather discreet young girl, and she is rarely seen talking with anyone. The few people who have the courage to go and talk to her then have the right to a consolation prize: to be sent back by the young girl. Currently, only Masato hasn't been intimidated by the girl, but is it only due to his sweet nature?

"Mal" is a second-grade student and is in the same class as Masato. Whether of her own free will or not, Mal is very often the focus of attention being quite charismatic, competitive and (especially) having a host of admirers at her side. She is well known in the academy for her skills with her Railgun, which she masters to perfection (she has the reputation of never missing a single one of her targets). She claimed herself as Masato's rival, which Masato has no interest in, thinking instead that they would make a wonderful duo if they had to fight as a team (which makes her blush a lot).

Hisui is Masato and Ria's childhood friend. Previously very kind, very close to Masato and very passionate about stars, Hisui is now a true ice princess. Impossible to approach, close to no one and always isolated. Schoolwise, however, Hisui remains an excellent student, being ranked as the second best student in every subjects. Some students think that her behaviour is the result of her anxiety about the responsibilities she is trapped in, she is the heir to a long line of "heros" who used AD technologies, and that her position as "Second" shakes her a lot (even if the first is never the same in all subjects).

Chris is Masato's best friend (according to Masato himself) and is also in the same class as him. While most of the students are intensively involved in combat, Chris is involved in the "mechanics team" and therefore takes care of the repairs of the equipment. He is ranked first of all in this category, and many students are fighting to have him on their teams as a mechanic. Of a docile and very kind nature, he is often dragged (without wishing it) into all the stories of the boys in the dormitory, even the crispiest of them.

Hibiki is a close combat instructor at the academy to teach students how to use AD technologies effectively. She is also a decorated former soldier who retired from her career in order to become a professor at the academy.

Torajirou is the headmaster of the school, a veteran over-decorated with medals and honours and also Hisui's grandfather. He has a remarkable presence that commands the respect of everyone, no one can conceive him as anything other than a man educated as a Spartan. Yet he shows a completely different aspect of his personality when he is accompanied by his granddaughter, who is his pride and joy and the object of all his love, leaving more than one soul completely lost in the front of such a spectacle.
