Saya is rather selfless and tends to put others before herself she cared a lot for her guardian Honami after the death of her parents. Saya is also rather independent and kind. Saya loves her friends and family dearly and will do anything to protect them which often leads her to trouble and often gets called an idiot by Touma. Saya's hobbies consists of mainly housework (much to her embarrassment) also she plays the Violin and is a member of Orchestra Club at school. Saya prefers to abide by the rules and can be called uptight sometimes however as the story progresses she learns to lighten up a little. Saya works an after-school job as an office janitress. Saya's parents died when she was young and she was taken into the care of one of her father's co-workers who assumed the position as her guardian. Shun is a shy and calm individual who often keeps to himself. Shun gets good grades and is very skilled at studying that he tutors younger children. Shun's hobbies consist of gardening and poetry. In Shun's route in the game the protagonist (Saya) learns that Shun's younger brother Chihiro is very sickly and is hospitalized then that Saya learns that Shun is a very kind and caring older brother. Shun is overall very kind, caring and also very respected by many. He is best friends with Rei Komura and is the complete opposite to him. It is revealed in Piece of Future (Shun Route) that Shun fell in love with Saya at first sight considering he hardly interacts with girls, Saya was his first female friend.

1st year high school student. Rei is a distant relative of Yuuichi Komura and is the next Guardian to fill the role of the nine-tailed fox. He is best friends with Atori Shun and they have known each other since they were in elementary school. Furthermore he is childhood friends with Saya and Shinogu and considers Shinogu as a big brother. Rei is an outgoing person and is extremely friendly to others. He has little sense of social boundary and he is a member of the school track team. He quickly befriends Saya and easily accepts that she is the Tamayori Princess. He and Shun are best friends however are complete opposites as Shun is more shy than him. Rei is also quite mischievous and also likes to play practical jokes he doesn't excel very well at school so he gets tutored by Shun. Rei tends to take advantage of his powers and uses his genjitsu to skip school, peep in the girl changing room etc.

Shirou is the nephew of Ryou Kutani. Shirou is one of the most cheerful of the Guardians, and can usually be found making jokes with Rei and making people smile. He can be quick to anger but despite his temper and his tendency to be laid back when he isn't concerned, he is also very friendly and loyal. Shirou desperately wants to be accepted as a Guardian for the Tamayori Princess however the Guardians make a deal with him that if he can prove his worth as a Guardian then he can officially join them. In Shirou's route in the game the protagonist learns that Shirou truly yearns to be accepted by others and wants to find somebody precious to protect. Shirou is very hyperactive and childish despite his age he tends to astound Hibiki making him question how Shirou got so far into his education yet be so dumb.
