The story is set in February, only a month before Koyomi Araragi's approaching college exam. While in the bathroom he notices that he doesn't have a reflection in the mirror. In fear of turning back into a full fledged vampire, he contacts Yozuru Kagenui and Ononoki Yotsugi for help.
